BIO
TSENG YUN-FANG is a Taiwanese multi-instrumentalist and composer and sound artist known for her interdisciplinary work spanning film, theatre, and contemporary art. Based in Kyoto and Taipei, she has established a distinguished career as an award-winning film composer and a collaborator with international artists.
She began formal piano study at age four, in her teenage years she had been taking professional classical music training as a concert pianist,attending piano competitions and constantly playing annual solo piano recital of her own.
Fang’s distinct sound language integrates field recordings, environmental soundscapes, and electronic noise to create poetic and immersive sonic experiences. This hybrid approach blends traditional Asian melodies with cutting-edge electronic sounds, offering a fresh perspective on the fragmented essence of modern life.
As a film composer, her work has garnered significant international recognition, including the Golden Horse Award for Best Original Film Score for Thanatos, Drunk (2015). Her collaborations with director Zheng Lu Xinyuan led to music for the IFFR Tiger Award-winning film The Cloud in Her Room (2020) and the Berlinale Forum selection Jet Lag (2022). More recently, her score for A Brighter Summer Day for the Lady Avengers (2024) received the Student Academy Award's Gold Medal in the Alternative/Experimental category.
In the realm of media art, she collaborates with Berlin-based artist Yu Hsin Su on installations exhibited at venues like the Sydney Opera House and UCCA Dune Art Museum. Her works also include collaborations with Singaporean choreographer Choy Ka Fai on productions that have toured major European theatres.
Fang continues to push the boundaries of sound in cinema, performance, and exhibition spaces.

曾韻方（Yun-Fang Tseng／ソウ インホウ）は、台湾出身の映画音楽作曲家・サウンドアーティストで、現在は京都と台北を拠点に活動している。幼少期からクラシックピアノの訓練を受け、台湾大学演劇学科（表演専攻）を卒業。音楽的技術と演劇的感性を融合させ、映画、パフォーマンス、現代アートを横断する独自のサウンド実践を展開している。
彼女の音楽は、ピアノの抒情性、フィールドレコーディングや環境音、電子処理やノイズ構造を統合するエレクトロアコースティック的なアプローチに基づく。音源のレイヤリング、解体と再構成、ダイナミクスの演劇的活用を通じて、没入的な音響空間を構築する。その作品は 抽象と具象、静寂と爆発 の間を往還し、詩的でありながらシネマティック、かつ実験的な音世界を生み出している。
映画音楽作曲家として、張作驥（チャン・ツォーチ）監督の《醉・生夢死 Thanatos, Drunk》で第52回金馬奨 最佳オリジナル音楽賞を受賞。鄭陸心源（ツェン・ルーシンユェン）監督の《她房間裡的雲 The Cloud in Her Room》はロッテルダム国際映画祭2020 タイガーアワードを獲得し、同監督の《Jet Lag》はベルリン国際映画祭 Forum 2022に出品された。さらに、蘇鈺淳監督による《メイメイ Mei Mei》（第30回 PFFプロデュース）、洪瑋庭監督の《風流少女殺人事件 A Brighter Summer Day for the Lady Avengers》は2024年学生アカデミー賞 実験部門 金賞を受賞した。2025年にはショートショート フィルムフェスティバル＆アジア（東京）にて作曲家としてアフタートークに登壇している。
さらに、ベルリンを拠点とするメディアアーティスト 蘇郁心の映像・インスタレーション作品に音楽とサウンドデザインを提供し、2019年には彼女とともに山口県の秋吉台国際芸術村アーティスト・イン・レジデンスに参加。これらの作品は シドニー・オペラハウス や UCCA沙丘美術館 などで発表された。また、シンガポールの振付家／演出家 Choy Ka Fai とも協働し、ヨーロッパの主要劇場でツアーを行った。
簡歷
1989 年生於台灣，畢業於國立臺灣大學戲劇學系，現居京都與台北。曾韻方是一位以劇場在場性為創作原點，深耕於電影聲學與當代藝術實踐的聲音藝術家。 自幼受古典鋼琴訓練，並曾以鋼琴獨奏形式活躍於舞台。在戲劇與音樂雙重背景的養成下，逐步將創作拓展到電影、劇場與當代藝術之中，發展出跨域的聲音語彙。她的作品結合田野錄音、環境聲景、物件取樣與電子聲響，形成詩意而夢幻的音場，映照當代生活的碎片化感受。
2015 年，年僅 25 歲的曾韻方憑藉電影《醉・生夢死》奪得第 52nd 金馬獎最佳原創電影音樂，為該獎項最年輕的獲獎者之一。其後，她擔任配樂之電影《她房間裡的雲》榮獲 2020 年鹿特丹影展（IFFR）金虎獎；2024 年，擔任聲音設計之實驗錄像作品《風流少女殺人事件》則獲得美國學生奧斯卡金獎。她參與聲音創作之作品，曾受邀於紐約現代藝術博物館（MoMA）、雪梨歌劇院、德國 ZKM 媒體藝術中心等國際場域展演。
曾韻方的實踐將聲音視為進入現實的路徑，持續追問聲音如何形塑我們對「真實」的感知。她的觀點聚焦於聲音的去語境化。透過田野錄音、取樣及拼貼，她將日常場域中的聲音從既有敘事中抽離，使其脫離單一的符號定義，回歸為一種純粹的感官物質。這種抽離轉化為一處供回憶與時間棲居的開放場域――當聲音不再受限於原始功能，便能與觀者私密的生命經驗產生共振，誘發多重且流動的意義關係。
對她而言，聲音不僅是直接作用於身體的介質，更是回憶與時間的容器。藉由對感官場域的持續介入，她的創作暴露出現實並非穩定的結構，而是由不斷被重組的經驗與記憶殘響所構成。其創作多以聲音為核心，並結合影像、空間與光影的配置，多發生於非典型劇場展演空間中的聲音合作與實踐。
她關注的並非聲音如何再現世界，而是聲音如何使我們重新意識到自身經驗世界的方式，並在時間的流動中，不斷重新質疑並翻新自身在場的真實性。
